Rolex Day-Date 18238 Box & Papers

Model - 18238
Case Dimensions - 36mm
Movement - Cal 3155
Contents - Box & Papers
Year - 1998

From the 70s through to the early 2000s, Rolex were, and still are, the masters of their craft, especially when the craft in question is heavy gold watches. The overall appearance of the Day-Date hadn’t changed much between the 70s and 2000s. However, the configurations and calibres did.
This particular model is ref 18238, which houses the 3155 calibre, a movement that has a double quickset - meaning you can change both the day and date functions with one twist of the crown. In my opinion, it is the most popular due to its ease of function, but still keeping the exact same aesthetics as the its predecessors.
The dial is a lapped blue service dial, which was only available for a couple of years from the late 90s into the early 2000s. The condition is clean, with only minor marks of general wear. It keeps great time and is available with its original paperwork from 1998.
